Creating a dense list of products

Hello.
I would like to create a dense list of products separated by their specific category that they belong to.

For example:

Things
Thing1           Description       Add to cart
Thing2           Description       Add to cart

Widgets
Widget1           Description       Add to cart
Widget2           Description       Add to cart
Widget3           Description       Add to cart

Gizmo
Gizmo1           Description       Add to cart
Gizmo2           Description       Add to cart

With the bold, red-colored text being categories and the items below being items listed in those categories.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I would like this list to change if new items are added to the categories. For instance, if we offer a new gizmo3. We would add that to the item list of the category Gizmo, and that new item would appear here automatically.
