Custom Record Type
Hello,
We need a new way of classifying our customers - regular customers who buy directly from us (Direct) and customers who are billed by one of our customers, but we still have contact with (Indirect). I'd like to create some way of differentiating these companies for our Sales team. I've thought about just creating a new "closed" status - but I think it would be more evident of the different customer types by creating a custom record type.
Are there best practices for this? Is it possible to copy the Customer record form into a new custom record type? Or do I have to build this from scratch?
