Thank you to everyone for your passion, collaboration, and support. Here’s to building an even stronger community together in the year ahead!
Season’s greetings to you and yours! As we head into the holidays (December 24 – January 4), we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible strength and collaboration within our community. Even during the break, you can continue to benefit from connecting with peers, searching related threads, posting your questions, and marking helpful replies as “Accepted” in the Support Community.
Please note our dedicated team will be on reduced coverage during this time, and regular responsiveness will resume on January 5. Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season!

Wage/Salary Employee Permissions and Netsuite Premier Payroll
In order for Netsuite to work properly, it is really useful to give employees access to the employees list. However, if you do this, and you use Netsuite Premier Payroll which is also very useful, then anyone who has access to these "employee" lists can now see all other employees payroll information such as wage and salary information, social security, birthdates, mailing addresses, etc.
One approach would be to hide the payroll information by removing it from the forms, but this security through obscurity approach will only keep employees who are not skilled searchers from accessing it.
I am looking into various approaches on solving this problem, but was inquiring if anyone else had come up with a good solution to this challenge. Thus far, the best approach looks to map the salary to a custom record with security on it, but I am not sure if Netsuite Payroll can support that.
