Renaming of dimensions
Hey gang- We are in the requirement gathering stage for a new implementation and had differing opinions on renaming the standard Department, Class, and Location fields.
Our company's highest slice is Product Line, and we need to be able to dissect our company based on what we're selling. We still need Dept, Class, and Locations for our transactions. I proposed just adding the Product Line as 4th dimension, and utilizing the three standard as they are.
Netsuite is proposing changing Department to Product line, using Class and Location- then creating a custom segment for Department.
What route would you go and why?
