Dysfunctional Checkout Since version 11

We have customers calling to say that they are getting a blank screen when submitting their order.  Then when we walk them through the checkout process over the phone we are finding that it's taking upwards of a minute for the system to return the "thank you / order confirmation" page.  We are also finding the checkout system to be unstable (intermittently unresponsive) when attempting to place test orders on our end.

The past few weeks since being moved to version 11 have been extremely frustrating.  Checkout issues keep cropping up.  We were moved to version 11.0.3 on 7/18 which led to more checkout issues and now again today our customers are running into problems.
