Private Events are NOT Private
I created a NS Event and set the Event Access property to Private. A co-worker then checked my availability and the Private Event on my calendar was visible to him as if the Event Access property were set to Show as Busy.
Event Access has three options which I assume are intended to behave as follows:
Public: Info is public and time is shown as busy.
Private: Info is private and time is shown as free.
Show as Busy: Info is private and time is shown as busy.
Missing from the mix is the option to set an event as Public while the time is shown as free (or am I missing something?).
