IE 7 - Microsoft Patch to Prevent Crashing
If you have upgraded to IE 7 you may have noticed CPU spikes or crashes when using NetSuite or other sites with rich content driven by AJAX. This issue is caused by the Phishing Filter in IE 7.
Microsoft has a patch for this issue but has chosen not to roll it out via Automatic Update. Therefore, anyone using IE 7 with NetSuite needs to install the patch themselves.
Below are details from the Microsoft site:
Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP (KB928089)
This update resolves a performance issue with the Phishing Filter. When visiting certain web pages, the Phishing Filter may increase CPU usage while evaluating the page contents and the system may become slow to respond. This problem occurs on pages that contain multiple frames or when multiple frame navigations occur quickly. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
