Customer KPI's

I'm having a real problem with customer dashboards and the functionality for KPI's-the issue that I'm facing is that I cannot seem to get a 'Customer' saved search to bring back a value when used as a KPI on the customer dashboard? I have got some other Saved Searches of sub-records, such as a custom record with Customer as it's parent, and also things such as transactions, but when I use an actual customer search itself I get a zero value returned on all KPI's...:mad: However, when you drill into that zero it brings up the results for that customer
