<NLADMINEMAIL> & <NLLOGINURL> Tags equate to blank

I'm trying to get the following tags to work in an email template but they return a blank:

<NLADMINEMAIL>
<NLLOGINURL>

The way I get through them is when sending an email, in the Message tab I choose Field Type: System and they show up as options in the Insert Field Drop down box.

Is this a bug or have I not entered information in the correct fields?
