Drop down menus not working consistently

Hi

Does anyone else have a problem with the drop down menus not always working.

I have my preferences set so that I have to click on the menu in order for it to drop down.

I am using IE7 and have a fairly slow 1mbit satallite link for download.

Sometimes when I click on a menu, even after waiting ages, rather than dropping the menu down, it takes me to the dashboard for that centre - which in turn tends to take ages to load.

To cure it I have to logout & back in or clear the cache.

Any one else experience this - any suggestions?
