ODBC error sqlAllocHandle solution
I couldn't get netsuiteODBC running on my computer. I have a Macbook Pro, running Parallels 3.0 and Windows XP, so I wasn't sure if that was the problem. Every time I tried to connect odbc, I would get an error something like: sqlAllocHandle sql_env failed.
Netsuite support couldn't help. Their only troubleshooting was to uninstall and reinstall openssl and netsuiteODBC.
After searching a ton on Google, I ended up at the openAccess website. Netsuite used their SDK to build their odbc driver. I found a reference in their documentation to a file named "libeay32.dll", normally found in c:\windows\system32\. Apparently, lots of programs use this file.
