get NS to open Acrobat Reader NOT in a browser window?

Is there a way to get NS to not open Acrobat Reader in a browser window?  I have opened reader, it is sitting there open, and yet NS will open yet another browser window and open another reader inside of it.  If I have printed picking tickets, sales receipts and purchase orders all within 30 minutes or whatever, I now have 3 browser windows open with reader inside.  And then sometimes it will open another window to print sales receipts when the browser window for sales receipts is already open.

I have IE6 and Reader 8.

I hate it.  It is messy and confusing.  I've tried numerous things over the past few weeks hoping I could find this problem.
