What item fields are searchable?
I recently created some items for a layout that aren't "real items"... that is, I only created them to fill an item layout with a pretty display (www.bestamericanarts.com/Shop-by-Artist). The problem is, these items will come up when you search for that artist's name.
What item fields can I pull info from that will NOT be searchable through the search portlet? And no, I can't uncheck the "show uncategorized items in search results" because the items are all in one category... the one that I want the item layout to appear in.
How can I make these unsearchable? I pull the display name for the previously linked layout from item records where the artist name that displays in the layout is pulled from "Display Name/Code"... maybe if I move this from Display Name/Code to another field (metatag html for example)?
