Unable to Report/Search on Quotas

I have set up quotas and assigned them via class.  When I try to report on them via report or search I get blanks for the quota.  Another thing I am really trying to do is get the quota for a selected class to show up in a KPI Scorecard.  I cannot find date or period as an available filter on the quota search.  I am totally missing something or is this an issue?
