Unique Contact Names issue

Hi all,

Is it possible to have two Contacts in a NetSuite system that have the same name?  Eg - John Smith already exists in NetSuite as a contact.  We meet another person name John Smith who works for a completely different company, and need to enter him into NetSuite. 

When I try to add another contact that has the same name as a Contact that already exists in NetSuite, I get this error: "A contact record with this name already exists. Every contact record must have a unique name."

Is there a setting somewhere that will allow 2 contacts to have the same Name?
