SuiteTalk Search Returns 0 Length Status Array

I'm using ColdFusion with the Java classes to access SuiteTalk.  I ran a CustomerSearchBasic search for an email address.  The TotalRecords came back as 0 and the StatusDetail array came back as 0.  I'm not sure if this is how NetSuite returned the request or if this is how the SOAP response was interpreted on my system.  Has anyone run across a search result where the StatusDetail array is 0?
