Orders Going Through Web Without Any Credit Card Approval

I have never seen this but we had multiple orders go through on our website without any credit card approval or actually any credit card listed at all.

Literally, several customers placed an order and apparently it went through without asking for a credit card except each had like Visa, Discover listed without a number.

How is the system now allowing orders to go through without payment?

I wonder how many orders people gave up on last night seeing that something is obviously wrong.

Off to make a case now...
