Disabling a button when the button appears top and bottom of form only disables top

Is anyone else seeing this? If you have custom buttons on a form (added via UI object in beforeload) and the button appears on both the top and bottom of the form and call nlapiDisableField on the button id, it only disables the top button.

Looking at the source, the buttons are named 'custpage...' and 'secondarycustpage...'. However making a special nlapiDisableField call on the 'secondary...' ID has no effect (probably because it is not a custpage... prefixed ID). Appears to be a bug...

Anyone else seeing this or know a workaround (other than DOM manipulation)?  NetSuite, is this a known bug?
