Mass Update successfully performed on 0 (zero) records
I created a mass update for Task records that is designed to take the "Company" information entered on the Related Records tab of the Task and add it to a custom field.
I tested the update on a small scale by limiting the records to a certain range in the "Date Created" field. The update ran successfully on test runs of 8 records, 21 records and 95 records.
Things seemed to be working well so I removed the "Date Created" criteria filter and attempted to run the update on about 1,100 records. The message at the end of the update told me that it was performed successfully, but on only a portion of the records, I think the number was around 400 but I don't recall exactly.
