Auto-Reply = Bounce?

We have received two bounce notices today that appear were generated because the email sent from NetSuite was responded to with an auto-reply.  One was a customers automated reply indicating they had received our order, and the second was from a saved search email to a Sales Rep of ours that is on vacation and he setup an auto-reply on his mail box. 

Why are these auto-replies generating bounce messages in NetSuite?
