Strange Commitment Problems

edited Dec 3, 2019 2:51PM in General 1 comment

I'm having some issues figuring out what has happened to our Committed Qty on a few of our item records.

NetSuite insists that our stock of widgets is committed as follows: 86 on hand, 86 committed and 47 back-ordered.   This is what I see on the Inventory tab of the Item record.

There are no Sales Orders with any of these widgets committed in the system. I determined that with a saved search with the criteria Item is widget, Quantity Committed is greater than 0.

The next step was to check Allocate Inventory, which held a new surprise.  All of the transactions that had committed widgets were from between 2006 and 2009.  I searched for a few of the Sales Orders and found that none of them contained the widget and all had been completely fulfilled and billed.

Howdy, Stranger!
