Transaction Date is blank on delete when field is disabled

Hi,

1) On type edit i have disabled field 'trandate' on transaction.
if(type == 'edit')
nlapiDisableField('trandate',true);
2)When i am trying to delete the transaction then it is giving trandate field value null, because of null value getting error can not read value from null.

Why getting null value when field is disabled.
