Not able to Send mail to my Gmail Id

Hi,

I am using

nlapiSendEmail(author id,'my Gmail Id', 'hi','Good' , null, null);

to send a mail to my gmail account. I tried this in my sandbox accounts as well as test accounts. The mail is not going to the gmail address made available in "recepient" field of the nlapiSendEmail API.

Please suggest how to check for the problem.
