Forms no longer auto-calculate Net Amount

Previously, a user was able to enter a Gross Amount into a transaction line in a form, then the Amount (exclusive of tax) would auto-calculate.  Today it's not working, submitted a case and advised it's an enhancement request.

Has anyone else been having this issue?
