Webservice Customer Last Name Error

NetSuite gives us the following error on customer's last name. 

His name is Matt Null.  Who would have thought that Null wouldn't be a recognizable value for a last name.

This is something that should be looked into and fixed.

InsertCustomer received Please enter value(s) for: Last Name on <external order id>
