Troubleshooting problem with emails on a saved search

Newbie to NetSuite...

I've created a saved search that should email me when a record is created or updated, simple enough.  For some odd reason I never get the email and I've double checked everything over and over and can't see anything wrong.  Can somebody point me in the right direction as to how to troubleshoot email notifications not going out?
