Printing Child Items on Packing Lists / Invoices without ":"

edited Dec 3, 2019 2:44PM in General 2 comments

We have normal items and child items which our customer can place orders, eg

widget1
widget1 : widget1-red

widget1 is the parent item which is not colored
widget2 is same as widget1 which is red in color.  For inventory management purposes, we make widget2 as child of widget1

1)  customer's sales order will have part# as "widget1-red" instead of "widget1 : widget1-red"
2)  customer can also order "widget1"

When we print out Packing List/Invoices, Netsuite will default to :
"widget1" qty 10
"widget1 : widget1-red" qty 20
As this will cause confusion to our customer, we want it to be printed as
"widget1" qty 10

Howdy, Stranger!
