Website is down for maintainence and errors at checkout during Black Friday and Cyber Monday

What is going on with NS?
"trying to place order and when i proceed to checkout, the next page says the website is down for maintenance"

"i AM TRYING TO FINISH MY ORDER AND AM GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE BEFORE THE PAYPAL OPERATION."
