JSON Number not String

I got the following from a developer working on a iPhone app that integrates with Netsuite.  Although I submitted a case it is really important for our deadline so that I would post here as well to see if anyone could help.

I'm testing out the REST API and I'm getting a successful response from the server, but the some of the response data isn't formatted correctly. Number objects with decimal values should be returned as a JSON number instead of a JSON string. The lat/lon and rate fields are two fields that look like they're being formatted incorrectly. Can you fix this?
