Record is Parent /Source it to child record

Hi,

Any idea on how to create a parent record and make it show to the Child record?

I tried to create a new Entity field (customer) but unable to select the "Record is Parent" box. I'm trying to create a field (text) and make it show to the child record. Mainly is a collection note and make it available to the parent and child.

Any idea on how to accomplish this without script?
