Sales Order number on Sales Receipt

I am trying to add the Sales Order Number to the Sales Receipt PDF so that my customers can see what the receipt is for.

I saw one post on 7/10/10 that says that using the "createdfrom" field is helpful, but I need more help in understanding what steps are involved please to accomplish that.
