Working with Session Timeout

edited Jan 8, 2020 3:31AM in SuiteCloud / Customization 2 comments

We have a NetSuite website that we let our service partners use to schedule work. The url looks like: https://checkout.sandbox.netsuite.com (obviously our sandbox environment). The login page the service partner uses says the session will expire after 30 minutes of activity.

Now that wouldn't be an issue except our service partners don't set a timer and have no idea when their session expires. If their session has expired and they click on a navigational link to get to another page it will automatically forward them back to the login page. (excellent)

My credit union has session timeouts too; however, before the session expires it opens a small pop-up box that says something like "Your session is about to expire. You have 60 seconds to click continue session and keep working or you will automatically be logged out. Then if you don't click the continue button it will log you out and return you to the login page.

Howdy, Stranger!
