Usefulness of Hierarchy in Custom Segments
Can anyone describe how the hierarchical nature of custom segment is useful?
When added to a financial (income statement) report, the filter select fro the segment collapses the hierarchy so it is not useful for selection.
I also wondered whether selecting a parent level in the hierarchy would aggregate all the children (which would be useful in a income statement context), but it does not.
The alternative to the build in hierarchy would be just our own prefixing, EX Category/SubCat1, Category/SubCat2. This would certainly present better in the financial report viewer, but am I missing out on something else
