v.11 Time Tracking: What is "Paid Externally"?

On the enhanced employee time tracking page there is a new box called "Paid Externally" that can be checked off...does anyone know what this signifies? I clicked it for help but it says help is not yet available.  I just want to know so our employees can fill out the time sheet properly -thanks!
