Thank you to everyone for your passion, collaboration, and support. Here’s to building an even stronger community together in the year ahead!
Season’s greetings to you and yours! As we head into the holidays (December 24 – January 4), we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible strength and collaboration within our community. Even during the break, you can continue to benefit from connecting with peers, searching related threads, posting your questions, and marking helpful replies as “Accepted” in the Support Community.
Please note our dedicated team will be on reduced coverage during this time, and regular responsiveness will resume on January 5. Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season!

Parent:Child association change !!!!!
I absolutely could not believe it when I read the following:
Issue Number 119751
Type Problem
Severity S2 - Urgent
Status Closed - As Designed
SLT Age 0 Months
Release Target Mar 2007 SLT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abstract: Lists > Relationships > Customers > Edit Customer record to add a Parent > 'Child Of' field is disabled.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Details:
Customers with transaction history may no longer be assigned to a different parent customer in the 'Child Of' field, when the 'Accept Payments Through Top-Level Customer' preference is enabled.
This protects users' A/R data integrity. If there are payments associated with a parent customer, that are applied against a sub-customer's invoices, then changing the parent customer on that sub-customer would cause significant issues- invoices would no longer appear paid, the former parent and sub-customers' A/R balances would not be accurate, etc.'
