Change in Gift Certificates in 2007

edited Dec 13, 2019 11:46PM in General

Prior to Version 2007 I am pretty sure that when selling gift certificates "Item Options" were used to fill them in, ie if you sold a Gift Certificate from within NS (ie not web store) you would use item=Gift Cert and then click on the "options" button and fill in name, email address, message, etc.

In the new version 2007 there is a column in the cash sale and invoice transaction forms (the standard forms too) called gift certificate. When clicking in the gift certificate field you are then prompted for the details (ie name, email, message, ect.).

The problem I see with this design is that the gift certificate column is there (and taking up space) no matter which item we are selling. In my opinion it should go back to being an item option that only shows up when selling a gift certificate.

Howdy, Stranger!
