Problem creating PO - Multi-Location Inventory

Receive the following message when trying to save a PO - created on new version - had no problem with same actions before change:
You must specify a location in order to use lot numbers when Multi-Locaton Inventory is enabled.

Have specified a location for the individual line item when entering.  The item itself has that location listed as it's preferred location.

Getting invalid argument error with URL https://system.netsuite.som/app/transactions/purchord.nl
