Making Customers Inactive in 2010.2

As far as I can see the "inactive" check box has disappeared on the customer form in the new release and I can't see a way to get it back in customise form area.  The inactive functionality doesn’t seem to work on the inline edit on the customer list either.  I guess I’m missing something.
