2012.2 Unannounced Project Actual Work change
Hi everyone,
Just thought it would be a good idea to share with everyone an important unannounced change to the Actual Work Project field for the Advanced Projects module.
Previously, this field calculated the sum of hours logged on PROJECT TASKS relating to a Project.
Subsequent to 2012.2, this field now sums ALL time logged against a Project, wether or not it is on a Task. This affects your Project Completion percentage.
Estimated Work, however, remains unchanged for the moment, which causes a weird disconnect between your Estimated vs Actual and the way Completion is calculated. Perhaps this field will also change to the new behaviour. This also leads to questions about the new intended behaviour of the "Include CRM Tasks" checkbox, so this may change as well.
