Fedex Shipping Labels w/Thermal Printer?

Is anyone successfully using Fedex shipping label integration with a thermal printer? The instructions state the following:

Next, you will need to install the thermal printer plug-in or ActiveX control. Active X controls are used with Internet Explorer, and plug-ins are used with NetScape Navigator.

The link in the instructions points to a UPS control for a certain printer. We have a Zebra 2844 which the instructions sepcifically state is supported but there does not seem to be a plug in or activex control in existence for this printer. I contacted Zebra and they told me to call Fedex. Fedex of course told me to contact Netsuite. Netsuite has not responded to the issue.
