Using Sales order Number as Invoice Number when Billing

Hi Everyone,

We import orders from an external store as sales orders, using the order# as the sales order#.  Then we fulfill and bill the order.  We need Sales order# to be also used as the invoice# when it's billed. 

Is there a setting or other way to accomplish this?
