Windows 7 and a thermal printer

edited Nov 25, 2019 10:46AM in Accounting / ERP 14 comments

The NetSuite help has instructions for adding a thermal printer to a XP computer.  Does someone have an updated version for a Windows 7 computer that doesn't have a printer port?

In windows 7, I go to "start->all programs->accessories->windows explorer", but the controls are different and no longer match up to the NS instructions.  There is no longer a tab called "File Types" in the "Folder Options" control panel.

In windows 7 you have to right click on an EPL2 file to get to step 8.

Also, I'm trying to use an USB port and not a printer port.  The NS instructions have "Copy %1 LPT2" in a batch file.  I read elsewhere online about using a "copy  %1 USB001" type of command and I'm wondering if we could get instructions for printing to USB without using the file sharing option as that doesn't seem to be working for me.

Howdy, Stranger!
