Automate Selection of Serial Numbers
I recently asked Netsuite if there was a way to automatically assigned serial numbers on a sales order, it is an enhancement.
The reason I asked is we have developed some scripts to achieve this but they aren't perfect and it appears to assign the same serial number to multiple sales orders at the time of their creation.
This is a problem for a number of reasons but one being that we send out digital pdf receipts that consumers redeem at retail locations, similar to ticketmaster.
Has anyone tried to automatically select serialized inventory with success? I'm just looking for some best practices or possible alternative approaches.
