Not show description items on packing lists?

We would like to be able to add description items to sales orders to send back to customers with the confirmation (like, say: price or terms...) but we don't want them to print on the packing slip.

Under accounting preferences we can say "Show Non-Inventory Items on Printed Forms" unchecked, but that doesnt do the trick. The description items still show up on the packing slip!
