Barcodes not scanning

We are printing item barcodes to a zebra printing.  All of the barcodes with UPCs will scan but only some of the barcodes that are code128 will scan.  Is there a setting that needs to be changed to ensure the barcode printer receives the file properly for code128 barcodes.  We have done trouble shooting with Zebra to ensure that our setting are correct and they are advising that the isssue is with the file being sent to the printer - anyone else experienced this??
