Help I need a work-a-round.
We have a web-store and the customer has the option of having goods sent by mail or UPS. We have set the system to force all orders over 4lbs to go via UPS and that works fine because most items have the correct weights...
The problem is we sell long fluorescent tubes and we need to force them to go via UPS. People keep dying to have them posted because it is cheaper and you cannot put a 5' tube in the post (Some people have no common sense).
We tried making a custom field to identify long items and then switched on scriptable checkout and wrote a script that simply says if there is a long item in the checkout shipping method=UPS..... Sounds good but it does not work so I filed a case. Yesterday I got the following response:-
