Reference Fields for FedEx Integration

Currently Netsuite only sends one reference # to FedEx, even though it stores two, and Fedex can take 4.  Has anyone done a customization to enable this.  It is going to keep us from automating order/invoicing process with our highest volume partner.  It would be huge operational win.
