Disabling Multi-Location Inventory

Does anyone have any experience with disabling MLI? We made some erroneous assumptions when we first set up our warehouses. We set up 1 main warehouse but set up multiple child warehouses to segregate inventory. We populated these child warehouses through CSV import prior to our Go Live but quickly found (after Go Live) this to be a problem. Since Go Live we have transferred all inventory out of these child warehouses and into our main location. After the transfer of inventory we inactivated these child warehouses.

We have now discovered that despite these child locations being inactive (with zero inventory and very few transactions) they are still effecting our Advanced Inventory Management features such as auto re-order points, preferred stock level, etc..
