Special Orders / Generic Item / Re-use Item / Picking Tickets
We regularly need to order one-off parts for customers from various vendors. Creating new items every time is quite painful. e.g. we might have 3 of these items on each Sales Order. We have been using a generic non-inventory part, but it is hard for the guys picking the orders to keep track of them. The main reason that it is difficult is that the the picking ticket shows up on the next print run, whether the item has been received in or not. We try to avoid using the "reprint picking tickets" option, so it doesn't get printed again
