Getting the latest stock levels for items

Is there a way to get a list of the latest stock levels for inventory items using Web services? I need a quick and easy way to get this information to update our internal database. Using the item search takes too long, normally around 30 mins to download and update. I need to update our stock every 15 mins so i need something thats less intensive.
